VKL is overseen by the VKL Steering Committee which includes the Chair, Treasurer, Executive Director and 2 sub-committee chairs (Administration, Events). The Village Steering Committee meets twice a month either virtually or in-person. On occasion, special meetings are also scheduled.   

The responsibilities of the Steering Committee are to:

• assure that VKL operations support its mission and goals;

• conduct annual strategic planning; 

• oversee and set policy;

• ensure strong fiduciary oversight and financial management;

• identify, develop, and maintain financial resources including grants, contracts, donations, membership fees, and other fundraising resources;

• approve, administer, and monitor VKL’s programs and services; and

• enhance VKL’s public image
